Birthday Of The King Concert

Ever heard a mature baritone voice in a 16-year-old who thought he couldn’t sing when he joined the choir two years ago?  Listen to the first solo. This exquisite musical experience is conducted by a musician who has not finished college.  She attended high school at Fountainview.  Her 82-strong choir and orchestra remind me of a school of porpoises, leaping out of the water together, dressed in their black and white concert attire.

Every student in Fountainview joins the choir, orchestra, or both.  On tour, the entire faculty and student body compress into two buses.  For this concert, there wasn’t even standing room.  Some traveled 4 hours, one way, to hear “almost” angels sing.

Scripture: Luke 2, Isaiah 53, John 3

“Birthday Of The King Concert” performed by Fountainview Academy Choir and Orchestra on December 8th, 2016 at the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, Washington
