We will discover that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath and upholds all creation by the word of His power. Therefore the Sabbath is the “Lord’s Day” and a memorial to the Sabbath. Yet if we dig deeper we learn that the same power that created all things and upholds all things is the same power that “Saves” us. If fact we could say that Creation and Redemption are the same thing. So just as the Sabbath is a memorial of Creation, Sabbath could also be a memorial of Redemption. In fact, we see that Jesus “Rested” on the Sabbath day at the end of His redeeming Work.
