This sermon will bring to light the Kingdom of Heaven as described by Matthew in his gospel. Unlike any kingdom on Earth, the Kingdom of Heaven is built on love, not hate and selfishness. In this Kingdom, its citizens become more and more like their King – not through their own efforts, but by simply beholding Him. As 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” Citizenship to this Kingdom is available to us now, even though a more glorious fulfillment awaits us in the future.
