Prayer is the continuation of the conversation with God that started when Adam first opened his eyes. God called this conversation “very good.” Through prayer we re enter that conversation and receive forgiveness, healing and restoration to the family of God. As helpful as this is, it can also, at times, become very confusing and painful. David, Mary and Martha and Job were people in the Bible who also, at times prayed in deep pain and frustration. They found this persistence to be worth it and would recommend prayer to us.
A tragic hindrance to receiving answers to prayer can happen if we do not treat others with respect and love. God is faithful to help us repent so we can receive all the answers he wants to give.
