Luke reports that our Messiah was given two names by an angel:  Jesus and Emmanuel.  Which name did Mary use while rocking her heavenly baby to sleep?  Why is one of these names English and the other Hebrew.  Which name is mentioned only three times in scripture.  Do the names mean the same thing?  Is one of them a middle name?  Knowing the answers could have eternal consequences.  I’d love to receive your feedback after hearing the sermon.
