Scripture: Joel 2
What if invaders attacked every beach, forest, tulip field, and town in Skagit county. Squadrons of growlers are unable to stop this enemy which devours everything that is green and beautiful, turning the chewed up real estate into a treeless, hot, parched desert such as California’s Death Valley.
Today’s Bible study of Joel 2 describes how an army of arthropods ruin real estate. There is a lot of bad news. But be encouraged. There is also plenty of great good news. The critical question for Mount Vernon Christians to answer is. At the end of the day, will the Body of Christ in this county be spiritually dehydrated or drenched?
Bad news – by design or default, groups of highly favored human beings experience wasted years resulting in both emotional and physical scars, cracks, and wrinkles. Great news – survivors can expect a huge return on their parched real estate when they return to God. That payback starts with life-giving downpours of rain. Expect to be drenched today.
“Dehydrated or Drenched” by Pastor John McGhee preached February 27th, 2016 at the Mount Vernon Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mount Vernon, Washington
